Finance Mission
The Banks County Finance Department is responsible for the financial operations of the County, and serves as a financial advisor to the Administration and the Board of Commissioners.
Our mission is to manage the fiscal affairs of Banks County on behalf of its citizens and the Board of Commissioners and to prepare, monitor, analyze and implement a financial plan for generating revenues and disbursing funds in order to maintain fiscal integrity and accountability and to support effective decision making.
Purchasing Mission
The Procurement Department has been established to administer the procurement process on behalf of the County. Its responsibilities include:
- Obtains in a cost effective and responsive manner the materials, equipment, services, and construction required for County Departments in order for those Departments to better serve Banks County’s residents and businesses
- Provides increased economy in procurement activities, maximize to the fullest extent possible the purchasing value of public funds
- Fosters effective broad-based competition
- Provides safeguards to the maintenance of a procurement system of quality and integrity
- Makes every effort to enhance the County’s reputation of progressive and business integrity and fairness and equity to all vendors
