Tax Commissioner

Mission

The Banks County Tax Commissioner is an office established by the Georgia Constitution and elected for a four-year term.  The Tax Commissioner serves as an agent of the State Revenue Commissioner for the registration of motor vehicles and performs all functions related to billing, collecting, disbursing, and accounting for ad valorem taxes collected in this county on behalf of the State of Georgia, Banks County Commission, and the Banks County Board of Education.
