County Budget Management

Banks County Finance Department promotes the fiscal health of Banks County by providing the best quality budget services, financial reporting, analysis, consultation, and information to the Board of Commissioners, Elected Officials, and Department Management as an aid to making sound economic decisions. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of the annual budget, and financial system tools which provide accurate and timely information to all levels of County government and to the public.

Accounting

The finance department provides the County with responsive accounting and fiscal processing systems that promote public accountability and focus on customer service. It provides financial and fiscal service to the County in all the different facets of accounting.  This includes:

• Financial reporting, accounts receivable, cash collection, debt service, asset management, and general ledger maintenance
• Processing of invoices and support of all County departments.
• Managing the disbursement of all public funds which help make timely and accurate payments to vendors.

Grants Administration

The finance department is tasked with identifying and acquiring grants to assist County departments in fulfilling their needs and requirements.
