Charles Turk

Charles Turk is serving his first term as the Chairman of Commissioners beginning January 1, 2021.  He served as District 4 Commissioner for 3 terms. He received an Associate Degree in Pre-veterinary Medicine from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Poultry Science Technology from the University of Georgia.  Charles and his late wife Kimberly have three daughters and three grand children.  Charles is a farmer raising cattle and timber on the Turk Farm established in 1898 and also owns various rental properties.  He is a member of Homer United Methodist Church and is actively involved in many civic organizations including Homer Fire Department, Maysville Rescue, Banks County Rotary, Banks County Cattlemen’s Association and the Banks County FFA Alumni.
