Passenger Policies
Help Us Keep You Safe
Safety is our drivers’ top priority. Your driver’s full attention needs to be on driving. Please do not talk with the driver while the vehicle is in motion. Likewise, drivers are not to enter your home and are not required to carry packages.
Be Ready to Go
Please be ready to meet your bus at the curb a few minutes before your scheduled pickup time.
Priority Seating
Please reserve the seats at the front of the bus for seniors and persons with disabilities.
Cancellations
If you will be unable or choose not to take your scheduled trip, please contact us to cancel as soon as possible, at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time. No-shows waste resources that could be otherwise used to transport others. When no-shows represent more than 10% of the trips ordered for the Month, a suspension may result.
Pets
Pets are not permitted on board Banks County Transit vehicles
Packages
Passengers may carry packages as long as they are able to carry them. Drivers are not required to assist with packages.
Lost and Found
Any items left on board the bus will be taken to the office before the next time the vehicle is put in service. To claim items, call our office at 706-677-1835.
Music
Music may only be played if headphones are used and the volume is set low enough not to disturb other passengers.
No Eating, Drinking or Smoking
However, food and beverages may be carried on board if securely closed in spill-proof containers.
