Banks County Profile

Banks County's success grew from agriculture, and the area is still graced with successful agribusiness enterprises.  While we have worked to preserve historic buildings and abundant natural resources for future generations to enjoy, we are not afraid of modernization.  Homer, the county seat, boasts Chimney Oaks Championship Golf Course, host of the 2008 Georgia Open.  Restaurants and shopping abound at the retail outlet at Banks Crossing.  We also boast of year-round excitement of Funopolis Family Fun Center.
