Disciplinary Actions for Meals On Wheels Clients

First Offenders

Inappropriate and/or abusive behaviors displayed by clients toward staff or volunteers are unacceptable.  When such incidents are reported, the Director or coordinator will make a home visit and address the situation with the client.  Documentation will be completed and placed in the client's file.

Repeat Offenders

Upon the second offense, services will be suspended for up to, but no longer than two weeks.  The client will be informed verbally and in writing.  A report will be completed, placed in the clients' file, and sent to The Legacy Link Inc. Area Agency on Aging and County Commissioners.  Grievance procedures will be sent to the client.

Chronic Offenders

When behavior persists after the two weeks suspension, documentation concerning non-compliance by the client of policies and procedures will be placed in the clients' file.  A letter of termination of services and grievance procedures will be sent to the client, The Legacy Link Inc. Area Agency on Aging and County Commissioners.
